Water Baby

Dear Zoe - Yesterday you went for a swim for the very first time.  I wasn't too sure how you were going to react, so we eased into the pool, but you loved it!  Our friends Tim & Steph invited us over for a 4th of July barbeque and they have a great pool in their backyard- we had so much fun, hopefully we can go back again soon!

8 Months Old!

Dear Zoe- Happy 8 month birthday, baby girl.  Its hard to believe that my little baby is getting so big!

You are now a very skilled eater.  You love applesauce, oatmeal, yogurt and anything that I am eating.  In fact, you have started to reject the bottle and been demanding real food! 

You are also talking up a storm- you say da-da all the time, but it is not always aimed at Daddy (although we won't tell him that).

One of your favorite games is peek-a-boo.  You will roll yourself up like a little burrito in your blanket and wait for us to say "Where is Zoe?" and then you will unroll and reveal your cute little smile.

You are also clapping and waving very frequently.  Whenever we are shopping at the store, you wave like you are on a parade float at everyone you see, you have fans wherever we go. 

Your crawl is starting to develop into what your Dad calls "shot in the leg" crawl.  You pull up one leg like a regular crawl and then drag your other leg along behind it.  It isn't the most efficient mode of transportation, but it gets you where you want to be.

Lets see how you've grown...

It's amazing to look back and see how small you were just 8 months ago, and to see how much you have grown.  Thanks for being the sweetest and happiest baby ever.  Your dad and I are so happy that you are here.  Love you Zoe!

Dear Zoe- just got back from lunch with Jenny & uncle Patrick. You got many compliments on the hairdo dad gave you last night. Personally, I think you look like one cool chick.
